Dean Dobbs & Tim Smith‚ are regular performers at Irish Pubs and Fairs in Northern New Jersey.

They are based out of Sussex County in the Skylands Region of the State and perform in the Tri-state area of NY, NJ and PA.

Kindred Spirit are a favorite with fans that come to shows to hear performances of Tradtional Irish Folk Songs and those written by:

The Wolfe Tones, The Dubliners, Clancy Brothers, The Furey's, Christy Moore, The Saw Doctors, The Pogues, Flogging Molly and many others along with requests for original tunes.

Kindred Spirit has performed Festivals & Benefits that were headlined by the likes of Black 47, Gael Force, Cherish the Ladies, Celtic Cross,  Seanchi & The Unity Squad, Spirit of 16, Kilbrannan, The Dicey Riley Band and the Eamon Ryan Band to name a few.

Dean is the Guitarist/Songwriter of the group,  whos guitar provides the foundation of the Kindred Spirit sound.

Dean's influences vary from the Wolfe Tones, Dubliner's, Christy Moore, Chieftans, The Pogues, The Saw Doctors & Flogging Molly.

Tim provides the multi-instrumental compliment of Kindred Spirit, playing Mandolin, Banjo, Irish Flute and a host of Irish Whistles made of both wood and metal.

Among Tim's influences you can hear in his performance a fondness for Tommy Makem, The Clanceys, The Irish Rovers as well.
